Tony Miller Drum Services

Tony began playing the drums at the ripe old age of 4. He played his first professional gig at 10 and by the age of 13 was playing every weekend around the Dallas Texas music scene. His first drum teacher, Richard Speer (a local Dallas drummer) laid a solid foundation of rudiments and taught him to read music. He was fortunate to then study with world renown drummers Colin Bailey (Vince Gueraldi "Charlie Brown Christmas " sound track, Victor Feldman, author of "Bass Drum Control" book) Gregg Bissonette (David Lee Roth, Ringo Star All Star Band, LA Session master) Rick Latham (Juice Newton, Edgar Winter, author of "Advanced Funk Studies" book)
Tony attended the University of North Texas on a music scholarship and participated in the jazz program.
Tony has toured with Grammy nominated Christian music artists Mylon Lefevre, Wayne Watson, Cindy Morgan and Point of Grace, and has been a requested drummer in the Dallas, Nashville and Austin recording studios.
As a drum teacher, Tony is a proud member of the Professional Drum Teachers Guild of America and the Percussive Arts Society. He teaches all levels and styles and brings his years of professional experience to every student. Tony believes that "one size does not fit all" when teaching. He understands that each student has a different learning style and finds the best approach to help them succeed.
